I see great things in Milwaukie’s future.

I look forward to talking with you about them.

Let’s talk about priorities.

Milwaukie is a vibrant city, surrounded by a rapidly developing urban area. Over the years, the design of our city has changed and much more change is headed our way. But with smart decisions and informed policy making, we can continue to grow the delightfully livable community we all love.

Smart growth decisions for the future include how we reshape our community space - parks, housing, and transportation. It also means a focus on economic resilience and attracting more business and industry to our area while supporting existing businesses and employers. All the while, keeping in mind the amenities, engagement and community building that create livability and a sense of safety and belonging for everyone.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  • We live in a global community and Milwaukie has been a leader in climate action. We need to keep a rapid pace with creative solutions to boost livability and our economies.

  • Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, regardless of their background or identity. We have an opportunity to deepen our approach to community policing and secure greater investments from partner jurisdictions for additions and behavioral health response.

  • Your zip code should not dictate your path in life. With thoughtful and inclusive economic strategies, we can all benefit from the growth in our region.

  • Authentic and meaningful inclusion of our diverse residents means listening to each other and being ready to change. Milwaukie's future is bright and it takes all of us to get there. Building an equitable and just path to the future is bold work and requires trust and belonging.

  • Milwaukie will see upwards of 3,000 new housing units in the next 20 years. We need to be sure that housing is quality, thoughtfully designed, and available to all residents. This includes supportive services for our neighbors who are living outdoors.

  • Green spaces are assets that appreciate with time. Increasing investment in parks and recreation will benefit every Milwaukie resident.

  • The shape of our city has changed over time from agricultural use to a vehicle-focused design. Smart planning for our future and redesign of our transportation systems will improve our livability, health, and connection to each other.

  • Every day decisions are made that impact future generations. Those decisions are increasingly critical to the survival of our planet, the design of our cities, and the programs that serve our communities. Young people are aware of these issues and have a lot to say about them.
